The Marvin Group, including Marvin Engineering Co., is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to evaluate new suppliers and monitor existing ones to ensure contract compliance and defect containment. This role emphasizes supplier performance, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions in a 100% onsite environment near Inglewood, CA.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, up to 5 years in aerospace/defense, and knowledge of GD&T, AS9100, and regulatory requirements.

Qualificações

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 0–5 years of experience, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Basic understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of industry specifications and standards (e.g., AS9100, ANSI, ASME).
• Basic knowledge of government and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Basic knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes preferred.
• Basic knowledge of inspection methods a plus
• Knowledge of Quality Engineering tools (e.g., Cause Map, 5-Why) preferred
• Technical writing skills preferred
• Proficient in MS Office; with emphasis on Excel manipulation of data and metrics

Responsabilidades

• Generate weekly metrics to understand trends and performance of suppliers.
• Maintain and analyze supplier score cards and its raw data.
• Issue and review Supplier Notifications (SNs) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) when required.
• Maintain SCAR process and ensure proper root cause identification and effective corrective and preventive action.
• Attend Receiving Inspection huddles or shop floor huddles as requested.
• Prepare detailed supplier visitation reports to document site visits, audit findings, observations, and actions.
• Conduct supplier quality system audits/surveys as required to determine core competencies and whether or not a supplier should be retained or removed from the Approved Suppliers List (ASL).
• Communicate product and paperwork Quality Notification (QNs) issues to suppliers as needed and help develop corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier site visits to deliver score cards, provide RCCA training, assist with the SCAR process, etc.
• Build relationships with cross-functional groups to identify, reduce and ultimately eliminate impacts caused by vendor nonconformances.
