The Marvin Group, a defense contractor based in Southern California, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to evaluate and monitor suppliers, drive corrective actions, and reduce defects. This onsite role emphasizes data-driven supplier management and cross-functional collaboration to ensure contractual quality and delivery.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Engineering or related field and up to 5 years in aerospace/defense, with GD&T, SCP, and Excel skills.

Formación

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 0–5 years of experience, preferably in aerospace/defense.
• GD&T understanding and ability to read engineering drawings preferred.
• Familiarity with industry standards (AS9100, ANSI, ASME) preferred.
• Knowledge of government/regulatory requirements preferred.
• Experience with various manufacturing processes preferred.
• Inspection methods knowledge a plus.
• Quality engineering tools (e.g., 5-Why) preferred.
• Technical writing skills preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel data manipulation emphasized.

Responsabilidades

• Generate weekly metrics to track supplier trends and performance.
• Maintain and analyze supplier scorecards and raw data.
• Issue and review SNs and SCARs when required.
• Maintain SCAR process with root cause and corrective actions.
• Attend receiving inspections and shop floor huddles as needed.
• Prepare detailed supplier visitation reports documenting findings.
• Conduct supplier quality system audits to assess core capabilities.
• Communicate QN issues to suppliers and help define corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier site visits to deliver score cards and RCCA training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce vendor nonconformances.
