Job summary

Isar Aerospace seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier qualification, audits, and performance management for aerospace-grade materials and components. You will drive corrective actions, analyze root causes, and collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Product Assurance to minimize risk across the supplier network.

The role requires auditing experience, knowledge of EN9100/ISO 9001, and strong communication and travel readiness to visit supplier sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related
• Experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Product Assurance, or Quality Engineering
• Strong understanding of supplier qualifications and performance management
• Experience planning and conducting supplier audits and process assessments
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and corrective actions
• Understanding aerospace quality requirements: configuration control and traceability
• EN9100/ISO 9001 knowledge is advantageous
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specs
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites
• Strong analytical and risk-based problem solving
• English proficiency; German an advantage

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute supplier qualification and approval activities
• Perform supplier audits, process audits, and capability assessments
• Lead source inspections at supplier facilities when required
• Develop and review supplier scorecards and performance metrics
• Manage supplier nonconformances and corrective actions
• Conduct root cause analyses and verify corrective actions
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering on supplier development and risk
• Support First Article Inspection, qualification, and industrialization with suppliers
• Monitor supplier quality trends and identify risks to quality and delivery
• Drive continuous improvement focused on defect prevention and process capability
• Support incoming inspection with supplier-related investigations
