Job summary

AAR Corp in Chicago, IL seeks a Quality Engineer to review supplier performance, drive corrective actions, and oversee internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100/9110/9120, FAA and DoD requirements.

You will lead data-driven supplier improvement initiatives, validate conformance to engineering drawings, support inspection activities, and participate in customer and third-party audits. Strong leadership, communication, and aerospace QA experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 8 years related experience required.
• FAA Inspection Authorization and ASQ CQA desired.
• Minimum five years quality assurance experience in aerospace.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required.
• Clear oral and written communication under stress.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a key team member in supplier performance measurement.
• Create PowerPoint presentations and lead supplier performance meetings.
• Issue and follow up on internal and supplier Corrective Actions.
• Validate product conformity to approved drawings.
• Coordinate with supplier quality to disposition nonconforming product.
• Understand AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
• Support receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities.
• Provide investigation and RCCA for quality escapes and safety issues.
• Assist quality system managers with documentation.
• Participate in internal, customer and third-party audits.
