Job summary

ACE Thermal Systems is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage the quality of the global supplier base for aerospace ECS components. You will drive supplier qualification, audits, and continuous improvement to meet AS9100 and regulatory requirements.

travel 25-40% to supplier sites and on-site in Seminole, OK. The role requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years in supplier quality, and strong root-cause analysis with a proven track record in supplier development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a supplier quality engineer role, preferably in the manufacturing aerospace or defense industry.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), or Six Sigma Green/Black belt is a plus; AS9100 Lead Auditor certification desired.
• Strong experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Proven track record of conducting supplier audits and driving supplier improvement initiatives.
• In-depth experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, FAA, and other relevant aerospace quality standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with APQP, FAI, FMEA, SPC, and control plans is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality software tools.
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Proficiency in English; willing to travel 25-40% to supplier sites; on-site Seminole, OK.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and development activities, including capability assessments and on-site audits.
• Establish KPIs (PPM, OTD, COPQ) and drive supplier performance reviews and improvement plans.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for supplier nonconformances and escapes.
• Evaluate and improve supplier process controls using FMEA, SPC, and control plans.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve issues.
