Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Supplier Engineering Technician II to oversee AVL maintenance, supplier documentation flow, and quality issues across the supply base. You will work with engineers and supply chain professionals to ensure documentation accuracy and supplier readiness for programs.

The role emphasizes handling DRs/waivers, data requests, and collaboration across Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, reporting to the Supplier Engineering Lead.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; engineering/technical or supply chain degree preferred.
• 3 years in manufacturing, quality, or supplier-facing roles in high product complexity environments (Space, Aerospace, Defense, or Medical).
• Strong time management and attention to detail with technical documentation and multiple supplier interfaces.
• Understanding of GD&T and AS9102/FAI processes.
• Clear, professional communication with external suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and supplier onboarding.
• Review supplier documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Request and clarify technical data from suppliers (CAD models, drawings, certificates, reports).
• Author Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and manage deviations/waivers.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Document supplier-related processes and workflows (qualification, DR/deviation).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure supplier capabilities align with requirements.
