Job summary

Ursa Major, based in Colorado, seeks a Procurement Buyer to manage purchase orders for materials, coordinate deliveries, and communicate timelines to internal customers.

You'll collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, and Finance to support manufacturing goals, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships while ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance. This on-site role operates from Berthoud and Longmont facilities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Understanding of hardware-centered production environment.
• Project management knowledge.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Odoo experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for materials, components, services, and equipment.
• Partner with Facilities to create and manage PO for corporate events.
• Regularly update Supply Chain leadership and internal customers on PO status and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Oversee supplier management, ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Build strong supplier relationships for prompt deliveries and pricing.
• Assist in NDA creation and processing.
• Manage multiple purchase requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Resolve price discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Material Control, Quality, Finance, etc., to meet timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
