Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Product Quality Engineering Lead to own and scale our product quality systems. You will lead a hands-on team, shape inspection planning, nonconformance management, and continuous improvement across AS9100D compliance.

The role requires strategic leadership and technical execution in a fast-paced defense/aerospace environment. You will partner with Design, Manufacturing, and Test to align verification plans and drive quality controls, while owning escalations and MRB activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Quality Engineers.
• Set priorities and balance workload with stakeholder alignment.
• Build a high-ownership culture with accountable engineers for product quality.
• Develop end-to-end quality engineering processes including inspection and QMS improvements.
• Drive AS9100D compliance and other certifications.
• Define metrics and reporting cadence for visibility.
• Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
