Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Supplier Engineering Technician II to manage supplier qualification, AVL ownership, and documentation flow across the supply base. You’ll handle DRs, deviations, and supplier data requests, while coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to uphold program needs.

You will ensure traceability, maintain records, and support RMAs and PO updates. A strong grasp of AS9102 and GD&T is expected in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• AS9102 knowledge and familiarity with FAI processes.
• Experience handling technical documentation and supplier interfaces.
• Strong communication with external suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Approved Vendor List (AVL) with cross-functional partners.
• Review supplier drawings, certificates of conformance, test reports for completeness.
• Request and clarify technical data from suppliers (CAD models, drawings, specs).
• Draft Discrepancy Reports (DRs) for supplier hardware issues.
• Generate and manage deviation/waiver requests with Engineering and Quality.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Help develop supplier-related processes, standards, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure alignment.
• Maintain traceable records in systems to minimize documentation errors.
• Coordinate Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) with suppliers.
• Update contractual due dates and Purchase Orders; assist in tracking.
