Job summary

Moog Inc. in Torrance, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Sub Assembly Technician for our Aerospace group on first shift (6:00am-2:30pm). You will perform precision mechanical assembly, seating bushings and inserts, and follow engineering drawings to build high-quality hardware.

Responsibilities include drilling, reaming, chem-etch prep, and operating various machine shop equipment. You will maintain production records and support continuous improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic).
• Aerospace assembly or machining experience.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install aerospace bushings, bearings, sleeves per engineering requirements.
• Install helicoils and threaded inserts per specifications.
• Perform matched-hole drilling and reaming for proper alignment.
• Assemble subassemblies with fasteners, rivets, bushings and pins.
• Prepare components for chemical etching and perform chem-etch operations.
• Operate arbor and hydraulic presses for aerospace components.
• Set up and operate milling machines and drill presses.
• Interpret drawings and process sheets to verify tolerances.
• Verify dimensions with precision instruments and document results.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
