Job summary

Moog's Military Aircraft Group in Torrance, CA is hiring an Assembler Technician II for 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm). You will perform precision assembly and test of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight actuators on complex production units.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years assembly experience, and reading blueprints with precision measuring tools. FAA A&P is a plus; role is FAA safety sensitive with drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, English instructions understood.
• Minimum 3 years assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic).
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is a plus.
• FAA safety sensitive position; must meet drug/alcohol testing requirements.
• Able to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators.
• Adjust or align via shimming per blueprint/spec limits.
• Use dial indicators, calipers and micrometers to meet specs.
• Conduct tests on hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical actuators.
• Diagnose test failures and perform rework or disposition units.
