Moog's Military Aircraft Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Sub Assembly Technician on first shift to perform precision mechanical assembly of aerospace subassemblies. You will read engineering drawings, follow work instructions, and maintain quality and safety standards on site.

Responsibilities include installing bushings and threaded inserts, drilling, chem-etch prep, tool operation, and documenting production. Requires 3+ years in assembly and aerospace experience.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Minimum 3 years of Assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience in the Aerospace industry.
• Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).

Mansioni

• Install and size aerospace bushings, bearings, sleeves, and related hardware to engineering requirements.
• Install and inspect helicoils and other threaded inserts per aerospace specifications.
• Perform matched-hole drilling and reaming operations for proper alignment.
• Execute precision assembly of subassemblies using fasteners, rivets, bushings, pins, and related hardware.
• Prepare components for chemical etching and perform chem-etch operations.
• Operate arbor presses and hydraulic presses for installation/removal of aerospace components.
• Set up and operate milling machines, drill presses, and related machine shop equipment.
• Perform drilling, countersinking, counterboring, reaming, deburring, and other fabrication processes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure compliance with quality and engineering requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required manufacturing documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production personnel to resolve technical and production issues.
