Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville is seeking a Structures Technician to fabricate, assemble, and align large aerospace components in support of vehicle production and refurbishment. You will work from engineering drawings and use precision tools to maintain tight tolerances across materials such as aluminum, titanium, and composites.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and a background in aerospace manufacturing or related fields.

Qualifications

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience with precision calibration and measurement tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights and/or in confined spaces.
U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, and align structural aerospace components according to engineering instructions and specifications.
Drill precision holes using power feed, track, and hand drills; maintain strict quality tolerances across aerospace materials.
Prepare and treat surfaces for assembly and finishing, including cleaning, part marking, and sealants/paints.
Fixture and secure components using jigs and tooling to ensure accurate alignment during assembly.
Operate calibrated tools and measurement devices to maintain quality and safety standards.
Inspect assemblies, identify discrepancies, and execute repairs or modifications as required.
