Job summary

Blue Origin in Space Coast, Florida, is seeking a Structures Technician to fabricate, assemble, and align aerospace components per engineering drawings and specifications. You will work on flight and non-flight hardware, using precision tools to maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality and mission readiness.

You will climb, bend, and fit components, reading drawings and applying sealants, paints, and primers, while following 5S practices and collaborating with cross-functional teams to

Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing or related experience with interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision calibration and measurement tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Familiarity with adhesives, sealants, fasteners, and 5S clean workplace.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and align structural aerospace components per instructions.
• Drill precision holes with various drills; maintain tolerances across materials.
• Prepare and treat surfaces; apply sealants, paints, primers.
• Fixture components with jigs to ensure alignment.
• Use calibrated tools to maintain quality and safety.
• Inspect assemblies and perform repairs or modifications.
• Support continuous improvement and 5S in the workspace.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes.
• Manage handling of flight and non-flight hardware throughout lifecycle.
• Document work and communicate with engineering and quality teams.
