Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Structures Technician to fabricate, assemble, and align large aerospace components from engineering drawings. You will drill with precision, prepare surfaces, apply sealants and primers, and fixture parts for accurate assembly.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision calibration and measurement tools.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and align aerospace components per instructions and specs.
• Drill holes with power feed, track, and hand drills while maintaining tolerances.
• Surface prep and treatment including cleaning, marking, sealing, and primers.
• Fixture components using jigs and tooling to ensure alignment.
• Operate torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers to uphold safety and quality.
• Inspect assemblies, apply repairs or modifications as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain a safe 5S work area.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes.
• Handle and integrate both flight and non-flight hardware through production.
• Document work and communicate with engineering and quality teams.
