Job summary

RTX is seeking an engineering intern in East Hartford, CT to perform structural analyses on Mechanical System and Externals hardware for commercial engine programs. Responsibilities include FE analyses, life estimations, and presenting results to teams.

The role offers exposure to multi-disciplinary teams, test support during validation, and opportunities to learn about aerospace engineering within RTX’s safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM and enrolled through internship
• Minimum 30 credit hours at start of internship
• Minimum 3.0 GPA overall

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis to support all product development stages from concept to post-certification
• Provide design recommendations balancing structural, performance, weight, and producibility
• Support testing during rig/engine validation and document results for reviews
