RTX Corporation's Pratt & Whitney division in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Structures Intern for the MSEN program to perform structural analyses of mechanical systems and externals on commercial engine programs. You will apply finite element analysis to components such as bearings, shafts, seals, and gearboxes, support life estimations, and present results to project teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM field
• Minimum of 30 credit hours at internship start
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Experience working independently and in a team

Responsabilités

• Perform structural analysis to support product development through all lifecycle stages
• Provide test support during rig/engine validation and monitor instrumentation
• Document results and present analyses in project meetings
• Use finite element methods to evaluate MSEN components strength, stiffness, and fatigue life
