Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• MS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering is preferred.
• Mechanical Structures engineering experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Teamcenter/Simcenter and Ansys; classical methods of analysis is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in static hardware structural assessments.

Responsibilities

• Structures support across all phases of the design cycle from concept to certification.
• Conducts structures analysis on components/assemblies to ensure cost effectiveness, manufacturability and reliability.
• Identify structural risks within work of moderate scope to ensure project completion.
• Assist with new products/process improvements and maintain existing products.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis with tools including Ansys and Teamcenter Simcenter.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (Design, Heat Transfer, Structures, Aero).
• Work on-site as required and support role objectives.
