Job summary

The Ash Group is seeking a Structural Engineer for a 6-month, on-site contract in Hagerstown, MD. You will design, evaluate, and certify aerospace/defense systems, including mission payloads, aircraft, and space hardware.

Candidates should have experience with FEA tools (Patran/Nastran/FEMAP/ANSYS), fatigue and damage tolerance analysis (NASGRO/AFGROW), and solid mechanical design principles. 6+ years in aerospace/defense required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Engineering Simulation using Finite Element tools (FEA).
• Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis using NASGRO or AFGROW.
• Knowledge of classical analysis methods and mechanical design principles.
• Ability to author substantiation reports.
• Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience.

• Cover a wide range from mission payloads to orbital and space systems.
• Examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems.
• Design and develop new products and processes through the lifecycle.
