Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer in Englewood, CO to design, analyze, and certify cutting-edge aerospace structures and systems. Work on mission payloads, highly integrated aircraft, and space exploration technologies throughout the product lifecycle with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes advanced static/dynamic analyses, utilization of CAE/FEA tools, and producing substantiation reports for certification in an ITAR/EAR environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or related field.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Advanced knowledge of static and/or dynamic analyses.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Experience with finite element structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, analyze, and support certification of complex structural systems and components.
• Perform advanced static and/or dynamic structural analyses.
• Analyze metallic and composite structures.
• Apply engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle.
• Use CAE tools to support design and analysis.
• Perform FEA simulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on aerospace/defense projects.
• Support fatigue and damage tolerance analysis as required.
• Conduct classical structural analysis using hand methods.
• Develop substantiation reports for certification activities.
