Job summary

RTX Compression Systems Engineering is seeking a qualified engineer to perform structural analysis of Fan and LPC components using hand calculations and finite element analysis, and to collaborate with the Integrated Product Team to develop balanced engineering solutions.

You will use the latest structural practices and tools, document analyses in formal reports and presentations, and identify risks to ensure timely project completion. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of airfoils/blades.
• Proficiency in structural finite element methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis of Fan, Low-Pressure Compressor (LPC) components via hand calculations and finite element analysis.
• Utilize analysis results to provide recommendations/proposals to the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
• Work closely with all engineering disciplines on the IPT to identify balanced solutions to technical tasks.
• Utilize the latest P&W structural best practices and analytical tools.
• Provide documentation of analyses in the form of formal reports and presentations for management and customers.
• Identify structural risks within work of moderate scope to ensure project completion.
• Travel up to 10%.
