Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Greater Seattle Area seeks a Structural Design Engineer II to lead design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures for the New Glenn second stage. You’ll create 3D models, drawings, and interface documents while supporting manufacturing and integration.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure flight hardware meets performance, schedule, and cost targets. A B.S. in engineering and 3+ years in aerospace structures are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch-vehicle structures.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D CAD software.
• Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures for New Glenn second stage.
• Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, and interfaces.
• Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware and tooling.
• Plan, coordinate, conduct tests, and review test data.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware integration and cost effectiveness.
