Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers in West Lafayette, IN to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. You will assemble aircraft structures, train new team members, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

On-site training is provided in Saab's aerospace academy, with an anticipated start date in early December 2026. Starting pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour, plus a 3rd shift premium of $2 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistent quality.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage per standardized procedures to meet quality requirements.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge of processes.
• Support daily continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle Class A surfaces including touch-up painting and sign-off completed work.
• Contribute to a positive, productive work environment aligned with Saab values.
