Job summary

AV is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for a Summer Internship Program in Moorpark, CA. The 12-week, onsite program targets motivated students or recent graduates pursuing CS/SE degrees, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Relocation and housing stipends may be available for select locations.

Qualifications

• This internship requires current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in CS/SE or a related field.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python, C++, or Java.
• Familiarity with IDEs and development tools.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging software components.
• Contribute to tools and applications supporting AV robotics and aerospace platforms.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, and systems teams for integration and testing.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation using version control.
• Develop scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Learn and apply Agile practices and estimate development effort.
