Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is offering a 12-week Summer Internship Program in software engineering across multiple U.S. locations.

You will join a collaborative team to design, develop, and test software solutions for AV technology portfolios, including ground control systems and data pipelines. The internship targets students currently enrolled in college or recent graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a drive to learn in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS or MS in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java with solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging of software components.
• Contribute to tools and applications supporting AV robotics and aerospace platforms.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, and systems teams to integrate new capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control workflows.
• Help develop scripts to automate team workflows and improve efficiency.
• Learn best practices and Agile methodologies while estimating development effort.
