Job summary

AeroVironment invites students to join a 12-week Software Engineering Internship onsite. You’ll work on real AV projects, from ground control interfaces to data pipelines, learning with a multidisciplinary team.

Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with a minimum 3.0 GPA; preference for juniors or higher. This paid internship offers hands-on software experience in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, SE, or a related field.
• Strong programming knowledge in Python, C++, or Java.
• Familiarity with IDEs such as Visual Studio, Git, Eclipse.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, coding, testing, and debugging software.
• Contribute to tools and applications for AV robotics and aerospace platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers across software, hardware, and systems teams to test capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and version control workflows.
• Help develop scripts or automation to improve team workflows.
