Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in an engineering environment at our Oak Creek, Wisconsin location.

The paid internship exposes you to software development across Primary Flight, Engine, and Multi-function displays, with mentoring and real customer projects, including awareness of FAA and international certification processes.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate enrollment (sophomore–senior) in Biomedical, Computer, Electrical, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum GPA 2.75.
• Programming skills in C/C++.
• Working knowledge of software concepts, practices & procedures.
• Able to work full-time onsite during the summer 2024.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software development activities including requirement specification, design definition, and code implementation.
• Perform software verification activities including test definition, test execution, and review of lifecycle artifacts.
• Integrate and debug executable code on avionics hardware platforms.
• Generate software lifecycle documentation for FAA and foreign certification efforts.
