Job summary

RTX is seeking an early career Software Engineer for the Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions department. This onsite role involves contributing to safety‑critical air traffic control software across multi‑national customers, while learning new tools and lifecycle processes.

You'll work in a collaborative team, participate in agile practices, and focus on design, development, integration and testing of software components throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree in STEM (CS/SE).
• Experience in Unix/Linux development environment and command line usage.
• Strong software experience with C, C++ or Java programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Make complex fixes and significant enhancements with guidance from SMEs in the ATC Product Line.
• Update software process docs and work instructions to meet high‑maturity standards.
• Participate in agile processes including standups, sprints, retros, backlog grooming and story pointing using Atlassian tools.
• Collaborate across the software team and with program management and external stakeholders.
