Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer I to help ensure mission-critical avionics software performs reliably. You will translate requirements into software, develop tests, and support verification in an Agile, cross-functional environment.

You will design and implement DOOR-based requirements, build automated Python test scripts, verify lab builds, and contribute to test development best practices while maintaining standards. RTX offers relocation eligibility and a path to growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience with scripting using Python (or similar).
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Define software requirements using DOORs.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python to validate functionality.
• Verify software builds in lab environments and support verification events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and design solutions.
• Present technical progress to Agile team members and engineering leadership.
