Job summary

RTX is seeking early-career Software Engineers to join the Connected Aviation - Air Traffic Solutions team in Marlborough, MA. You will tackle learning-focused tasks across design, development, integration and testing of air traffic software used by national and international customers.

Expect to use C/C++/JAVA in a Unix/Linux environment, follow Agile practices, and leverage Bash/Python scripting. This onsite role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the STEM areas of Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience in a Unix/Linux development environment and command line usage.
• Strong software experience with C, C++ or JAVA programming languages.
• U.S. citizenship is absolutely required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.
• Preference for Agile methodologies and scripting with Bash and Python.

Responsibilities

• Make complex fixes to solve problems or create significant enhancements with guidance from Subject Matter Experts in the Air Traffic Control Product Line software.
• Update SW process documentation and work instructions to meet high maturity software engineering standards.
• Participate in agile processes and improve standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and story pointing using Atlassian tools.
• Work with software team and leadership in a highly collaborative environment with multi-level communication.
