Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies seeks an SMT Technician to program machines assembling PCBAs on satellites and ground support equipment. You will support the SMT process and resolve line-down issues to meet development and production needs.

Responsibilities include developing reflow profiles, programming paste printers and pick-and-place machines, creating AOI programs, and supporting wash and x-ray processes. On-site 5 days a week with attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on new developments and future activities.
• On-site presence five days a week; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop reflow profiles meeting TAL/temperature requirements.
• Program paste printer, pick and place, and jet printer; verify programs are defect-free.
• Create automated optical inspection (AOI) programs.
• Develop selective soldering profiles and verify with x-ray.
• Support wash, depaneling and x-ray inspection processes.
