Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking multiple Forming Fabricators for our Sheetmetal department. Operators work independently and with others to fabricate detail parts, supporting total customer satisfaction, quality, lean processes, on-time delivery and safety. Pay range is $20-$24 per hour DOE.

Required: High school diploma or GED and ability to read tolerances on drawings; experience with basic measuring tools is a plus. Join a team committed to excellence in aerospace and defense.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred; may require pre-employment assessment.
• Ability to read and understand tolerances on manufacturing drawings; basic measurement tools.
• Thorough understanding of process flows and lean principles in manufacturing.
• Physical ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow production, administration and safety policies and procedures.
• Set up and operate machines (hydraulic shear, chop saw) and assist with forklift operations; monitor first part production.
• Perform 100% inspection of parts after first part buy-off and document results as required by SPC plans.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cross-functional teams; support documented process improvements.
