Sonaca North America in Auburn, WA, seeks multiple Forming Fabricators for its Sheetmetal department. You will set up and operate fabrication equipment, read blueprints, and perform precision measurements to ensure part conformity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; pre-employment assessment if no diploma.
• Detail oriented; ability to read tolerances on drawings.
• Ability to read and understand tolerances on manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers).
• Knowledge of lean principles in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate one or more sheetmetal fabrication machines (e.g., hydraulic shear, chop saw) as required.
• Use gauges, calipers, and blueprints to inspect first part quality and ensure conformance.
• Complete production runs and buy-off with supervision or lead.
• Perform 100% inspection of all parts after first part buy-off and document results.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and report discrepancies promptly.
