Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to design and optimize manufacturing processes for complex aerospace sheet metal parts. You will translate designs into production plans, create tooling and routings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on NPI and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes GD&T proficiency, CAD tooling, and lean manufacturing, with opportunities to work across multiple departments in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or 7+ years in manufacturing environment focusing on exotic sheet metal, aerospace preferred.
7+ years in manufacturing engineering, tooling design, and process development for metal forming in aerospace.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication methods including hydroforming, heat treat, brazing, laser cutting, brake forming, welding, NDT.

Responsibilities

Develop cost-effective manufacturing processes for aerospace sheet metal components.
Translate CAD models and specifications into robust production methods and tooling.
Lead new product introduction and continuous improvement within an AS9100 environment.
