Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT seeks a Sensor Engineer to lead instrumentation projects within Engine Instrumentation teams. You will coordinate installs, develop routing plans, and work with instrumentation requestors, assembly and test engineers to ensure validated sensors meet program goals.

Requires a STEM degree with 2 years of engineering experience or an AS with 4 years, plus knowledge of pressure, temperature, strain gauge and vibration sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM with 2 years engineering experience or AS with 4 years experience.
• Knowledge of pressure, temperature, strain gauge and vibration sensors.
• Experience with instrumentation in engine development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead/co-lead instrumentation projects and resolve complex problems with oversight.
• Create installation, routing/egress plans and work instructions using CAD/vector graphics.
• Interface with instrument requestors, assembly/test engineers and validation customers.
• Oversee part-level instrumentation installs during engine assembly.
• Travel up to 10%.
