Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Aguadilla, PR, to lead a cross‑functional IPT across the product lifecycle. The role involves guiding technical execution, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring program requirements are met with strong risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or aerospace engineering background, CAM experience, and proficiency in AGILE, Lean Six Sigma, and cost estimating for military programs. Hybrid work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with 3 years in engineering.
• 3 years of project management experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Experience as a CAM with bid/proposal cost estimating for military programs.
• Experience with AGILE methodologies.
• Knowledge of CORE, Lean Six Sigma, and QCPC processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and project management to a cross‑functional IPT responsible for part‑level ownership across the lifecycle.
• Guide technical execution, manage program commitments, and ensure CIPT goals are met.
• Support IPT activities across design, structural analysis, durability, aero, materials, and manufacturing engineering.
• Drive technical execution, risk management, issue resolution, and review readiness.
• Plan and manage budgets, schedules, and technical metrics with the CIPT.
• Ensure communication, risk closure, and alignment to program requirements.
• Coordinate and support engineering design updates and changes (Class I & II changes).
• Oversee development and sustainment activities such as supplier reviews, engine build‑test‑teardown events, MERLIN inquiries, and deviation requests.
• Support field investigations and production delivery troubleshooting as needed.
