Forklift certification is preferred, with potential irregular hours and safety emphasis. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or sitting, and operating equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units of measure.
• Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Verify stock to work order requirements (alloy, temper, gauge, size, producer, lot no, grain direction).
• Set up saw and cut parts to customer tolerances using micrometer and caliper.
• Mark parts with customer ID and label remnants per policy.
• Stamp work orders with inspection stamp as required by QC manual.
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance on saws; keep work area clean.
• Coordinate scrap metal pickups and ensure safety procedures.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane as required.
• Assist in ongoing quality meetings and process improvements.
