Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read simple instructions, memoranda and safety notices.
• Basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
• Able to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Physical capability to stand, move and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Verify stock against work orders by alloy, temper, gauge, size and lot.
• Set up metal saw and ensure proper operation.
• Cut parts and verify tolerances with micrometer and caliper.
• Mark parts with required identification and label remnants per policy.
• Stamp quality-issue inspections as required.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance checks on saw and tools.
• Maintain clean work area and coordinate scrap pickup.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.
• Participate in quality meetings and support continuous improvement.
