The successful candidate will verify stock to order, set up and operate a metal saw, perform precision measurements with micrometers and calipers, and maintain a clean, safe work area. A high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos.
• Math: Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Verifies stock to work order requirements (alloy, temper, gauge, size, producer, lot no, and grain direction).
• Sets up saw and prepares material for cutting.
• Cuts and verifies parts are within tolerances using micrometer and caliper.
• Labels and marks each remnant per policy; stamps work orders with required inspection stamp.
• Performs daily and weekly maintenance checks on equipment and keeps the area clean.
• Operates forklift and overhead crane as required.
• Participates in safety, quality, and process improvement activities.
