Job summary

Chromalloy in Windsor, CT is seeking a Production Engineer to support repair and overhaul of gas turbine engine components, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and operational performance.

You will provide engineering support for production, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate across manufacturing, quality, and maintenance to drive Lean Six Sigma and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations, including troubleshooting, yield improvement, rework reduction, and disposition of non-conforming material.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective action activities to improve quality, performance, and process reliability.
• Drive production readiness and process capability for manufacturing equipment within assigned process areas.
• Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and process improvements that enhance productivity and quality.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, operating procedures, training materials, and quality records.
• Support employee training on equipment operation, process controls, and best practices.
• Partner with maintenance teams to develop and improve preventive maintenance programs for critical production equipment.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
