Job summary

Chromalloy in Windsor, CT is seeking a Production Engineer to support the repair and overhaul of critical gas turbine engine components. You will provide technical support to manufacturing, lead continuous improvement, and support processes like heat treatment, brazing, grinding, grit blasting, and plasma spray.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a science-based discipline (Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics).
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting production processes and implementing process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as Siemens NX or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support for production operations, including troubleshooting and yield improvement.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Drive production readiness and process capability for equipment.
• Design and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and process improvements.
• Create and maintain process documentation and training materials.
• Support employee training on equipment operation and controls.
• Partner with maintenance to improve preventive maintenance programs.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
