Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, North Berwick, Maine, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure Aftermarket Operations meet the highest quality and regulatory standards. You will mentor teams, review inspections and quality documentation, and collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to resolve issues.

The role reports to the site Quality Manager and supports an Alternate Work Week schedule with typical hours 3:30PM–11:30PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 6+ months of experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations in Manufacturing or regulated industry, OR Bachelor's and 2+ years of experience, OR Associate’s and 4+ years of experience.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards and inspection methods preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems and quality documentation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams investigating root causes of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine corrective actions.
• Review product, process and work instructions for compliance.
• Review and approve FAI’s, Service Masters, and Work Instructions.
• Interface with Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues.
• Lead and participate in ACE/CORE improvement teams and provide training to inspectors.
• Coordinate with off-shift supervision to prevent quality issues and closures of variation.
