ACME Careers in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Quotation Engineer / Estimator with strong hands-on machining and cost-modeling expertise. You will read complex drawings, assess manufacturability, and craft defensible quotes for high-mix, low-volume programs.

You will build systems and tools to speed quoting, collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Operations, and help ACME’s quoting become faster, smarter, and more competitive over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on technical background.
• 5+ years of experience in a precision machining environment, preferably aerospace/defense.
• Deep understanding of CNC machining, multi-axis milling/turning, tight tolerances.

Responsabilités

• Review RFQs, drawings, 3D CAD models, and technical documentation across aerospace, defense, and power sectors.
• Develop cost and time estimates covering labor, material, machining, finishing, inspection, and subcontract processes.
• Prepare formal quotation packages with pricing, lead times, notes, and risk assessments.
• Ensure quotes meet AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and flow-down requirements; support pricing for long-term agreements.
