Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Technician to provide hands-on technical quality support on the manufacturing floor in Fairfield, CA. The role bridges between Quality Inspectors, Production, and Product Quality Engineers to ensure strict adherence to specifications and quality standards.

You will review drawings and specifications, perform in-process inspections with advanced equipment, and lead FAIs per AS9102. Candidates must have 6+ years in aerospace quality and U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant aerospace quality experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Solid GD&T knowledge and practical inspection methods.
• Ability to obtain/maintain ATF access and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hands-on technical quality support on the manufacturing floor.
• Serve as the primary technical quality resource between inspectors, production, and PQEs.
• Review drawings, specs, and work instructions to determine inspection requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections using standard and advanced equipment.
• Interpret and apply GD&T to inspection activities.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102 and prepare packages.
