Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Quality Inspector III to ensure conforming product is delivered to aerospace customers. This onsite role performs conformity inspections and coordinates non-conforming product dispositions within the AS9100 framework, primarily on the 2nd shift.

The position involves floor and on-line inspections, FAI activities, and documentation of findings to support manufacturing quality. The role uses a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, and SPC processes to

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
• AS9100 environment experience preferred.
• Detail oriented with good communication and recordkeeping.
• Product inspection experience or technical background preferred.
• SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect arriving, in process, and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements and quality specifications.
• Use measuring devices, testing equipment, computers, and SPC processes to perform inspections and observations.
• Inspect actual products on the floor and on-line.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and conformity inspections.
• Raise notifications of non-conformance, quarantine non-conforming product and disposition when approved.
• Oversee and inspect parts, materials and processes.
