Job summary
Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Senior Quality Technician to lead FAI activities for engine nozzle components. You will work with customers to obtain FAI approvals, address returns, and ensure timely, accurate documentation throughout the approval process.
You will support quality engineering, drive inspection excellence, and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with AS9102 and QMS requirements.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with FAI or PPAP inspections.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings/reports and GD&T.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and AS9102.
- Aerospace standards NAS/AMS familiarity.
- Experience with inspection tools and Discus/Net-inspect.
- Customer requirements experience.
- Ability to track multiple activities with prioritization.
Responsibilities
- Complete, review, and track FAI and turnback resolution.
- Support internal FAI completion and accurate documentation.
- Deliver and support internal/customer FAI training.
- Assist quality engineering with customer approvals and FAI requirements.
- Maintain QMS documentation related to FAI and training.
- Support inspection training initiatives across teams.
- Identify process improvements for FAI and inspection activities.
- Collaborate with key functions to achieve business objectives.
- Support day-to-day quality deliverables including RCA, calibration, tooling inspection, NCRs.
