Saab West Lafayette is seeking a Technical Writer to join the team responsible for the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk aircraft. The role involves acting as the local SME for technical writing, producing NCRs and inspection documentation, and ensuring quality processes meet customer and industry standards.

Requirements include an AS degree in quality, technical writing, or related STEM field (or 3 years in a manufacturing quality role) and strong communication skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• Technical writing experience in manufacturing or quality operation is required.
• Ability to interpret and revise written documentation for consistency and repetition.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as local SME for technical writing and provide training for inspectors.
• Report on writing performance and turnaround time to leadership.
• Develop best practices for technical writing and update them as needed.
• Generate NCRs, Inspection/Control Plans, FAIs, and MRB dispositions.
• Ensure compliance with customer/industry quality requirements.
• Lead non-conformance investigations and material assessments.
• Support Saab values with a people-first culture.
