Job summary

Precinmac is recruiting a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain the quality manual and procedures in a Decatur, TX shop. The role focuses on audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement across aerospace-grade components.

The ideal candidate will drive QMS training, lead internal and supplier audits, and ensure compliance with ISO 9000/AS9100 and NQA-1 while collaborating with customers like Lockheed Martin, SpaceX, and BAE Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required; high school with nine years quality experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum three years of quality engineering experience in fabrication/machining; eight years if substituting education.
• Experience with codes, standards, specifications, inspection processes, and NDE.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control processes to meet customer specs and regulatory requirements.
• Lead internal and supplier audits to ensure aerospace standards and government regulations compliance; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
• Manage non-conformances, customer complaints, and vendor quality issues with root-cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Oversee a small quality team with training, mentoring, and daily operational support.
