Job summary

Poly 6 Technologies, Inc. in Cleveland seeks a Quality Engineer to lead QC operations and drive QMS compliance for aerospace ceramic components used in investment casting. This role reports to the Director, Head of Quality and requires disciplined leadership across sites and shifts.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering and 5+ years in regulated manufacturing with strong GD&T, NDT, data analysis, and documentation skills; CQE/CQA preferred but not required. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field; 5+ years in aerospace or regulated manufacturing; supervisory experience desired.
• CQE/CQA certifications preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC operations at Cleveland sites with prioritization and coverage.
• Balance workloads across sites and shifts; perform QC tasks as needed to maintain throughput and on-time inspection.
• Track QC metrics (yield, defects, rework, turnaround).
• Set QC priorities aligned with shipment goals; coordinate with Operations/Product Engineering; communicate goals to QC teams.
• Establish expectations, review performance, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead qualification program for QC technicians and advance qualification levels.
• Ensure consistent inspection methods, decisions, and documentation across sites.
• Communicate inspection results, nonconformances, and process issues to production and engineering.
• Maintain and improve the QMS to meet AS9100 and customer requirements; participate in audits.
• Support Engineering Change Management, NPD, and process validation from a QMS perspective.
• Provide QMS training and guidance to employees at all levels.
• Travel as needed.
