Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems – Colorado Manufacturing Facility in Colorado Springs is seeking a Quality Inspector for weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 6 AM–6 PM) to ensure machined components meet drawings, specs, and procedures. You will support documentation, non-conformance tracking, and root cause analysis, using CMMs, GOM, and GD&T, with attention to detail and teamwork.

Candidates need 3–5 years aerospace QA experience, ISO9001/AS9100, ability to read drawings, and US citizenship with ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 3–5 years in quality inspection in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and use measuring equipment.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 environments and in documenting inspection results.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined components and assemblies.
• Identify and document nonconformance and support root cause analysis investigations.
• Read, interpret, and understand technical documents (drawings, specifications, test procedures).
• Create and compile acceptance data packages for customer approval of build assets.
• Prepare and maintain AS9102 inspection reports, records, and discrepancy reports.
• Operate standard inspection equipment, CMMs, and GOM Scanning Equipment with tight GD&T tolerances.
• Support corrective actions, documentation control, calibration, and receiving inspection.
